Announcement

Aloha People, The Ukulele Guild of Hawaii has had a busy September and October. We were asked by the Kaleopule School to repair thirty nine of their white label Kamaka Ukuleles.

Got that done and now putting together the schedule and events for our Annual Ukulele Guild of Hawaii Exhibition and Workshop. Once more on the grounds of the Bishop Museum: Friday November 21 from 9:00am to 4pm at the Paki Classrooms.

Our hands om Workshops will feature Cente Arkangel, Jon Rice, Aaron Oya, Mac Harada and Mike Chock: covering subjects like.. showcasing various bracing systems, neck to body alignment and construction, fret marker designs via the laminate trimmer, designing headstocks and using the vacuum clamp and more. Saturday November 22 from 9:00am to 4:00pm over in the Watamull Atrium and Courtyard see our Exhibition and Display of handcrafted custom Ukulele.

There will also be a display featuring the building process of making a Spanish style construction of ukulele. Of course Kanikapila in the Courtyard and a special listening Session of various different braced ukulele. Sunday November 22 from 9:00am to noon. Last chance to see the Exhibition, talk story with all the builders, closing Kanikapila! More specifics to follow on this blog!
